Description

The infinity symbol in abstract style stone sculpture. Medium size original red or raspberry color alabaster hand carving on a round shape black granite base.

11.25″ x 5.25″ x 4.25″                   28.5 x 13 x 11 cm.                      3.310 kg.

The inspiration for the infinity sculpture derive by the triquetra overlapping arcs, better known as the Celtic knot style depiction, with a little fantasy. This original recently finished piece carved from a red or officially called raspberry alabaster natural stone. Shaped with mallet and chisels, detailed with rasps and files, polished with water base sand papers to a bright shiny surface finish. Sealed and buffed with non toxic natural bee wax. The base stone is a locally collected black granite specimen with lot’s of sparkly quartz. Cut to a 3.75″ diameter round shape, the top smoothed, and the edges polished. The sculpture pinned and stone epoxy glued to the base. Signed and dated.

The sculpture is brand new, never been displayed. Hand signed authentication certificate attached with the purchase of the sculpture.

Alabaster is a relatively soft stone, sharp objects can scratch, damage the surface. The bee wax buffing keeps the stone sealed for a long time, however a little refreshing with a few drops of olive oil and a soft cloth rub over time to time helps to keep it new looking.

Showcase of original sculptures, and colorful stone carvings direct by Canadian artist. Soapstone and alabaster stones are the main medium, but some interesting stone specimen carvings also available for purchase. All carvings, by Gabriella /sagastone/ signed and dated, an authentication certificate always attached with the carving.
Custom carving request always welcome. Soapstone and alabaster pieces on stock most of the time, however all carving require different size and color.
