Description
Back in time, a serpentine natural stone is worn to protect against snake bites. Nowadays this green specimen is not as popular for that purpose, however, it still makes an eye-catching jewelry piece. It is also known as a stone that can turn negative energies into positive ones. This stone was collected in the Canadian Rocky mountains, cut to a teardrop shape, and polished on lapidary diamond wheels to a bright shine. Set with a sterling silver 21 gauge triple lined round and half round jewelry wire wrapping, a minimalist style method, that allows showing the entire size of the stone, yet holds it firm and safe in place. Hangs on a 20″ x 1.5 mm silver plated snake chain necklace.
stone size, 37.3 x 20.9 x 8.8 mm 52.60 ct. overall pendant height, 49.3 mm.
raw serpentine natural stone is still available for custom shape and size cutting.
Our gemstone pendants are cut from mostly self-collected natural semi-precious crystals and minerals. Local Canadian Rocky mountain gems from far up the arctic circle to the south point of Vancouver Island. We also buy and trade interesting specimen with worldwide partners.
Handmade jewelry, what you find in the store, is available to purchase. Some stones are drilled and set with findings, but our preferred method is the modern and minimalist style of wire wrapping, which focuses on showing the entire stone size, yet holds it firm and secure in place.
We never die, color, or alter our stones in many ways, all pendants are 100% natural stones, polished with a nine-step lapidary process. The settings are made of sterling silver jewelry wire.
