Jasper is the stone that never fails to amaze me. The variety of colors, the distinct patterns, and the smoothness of a polished Jasper make us all realize, how wonderful nature created such stones.
Jasper found all over the world. Some are recognized by their color or the place where it is found, and some with a fantasy name that resembles a unique pattern and reminds a specific image. Picture Jasper for example, that make one think of a landscape, or the one with gray color and black lines looks like Picasso’s art.
Jasper is an opaque stone, compiled by very tiny particles of quartz with various mineral impurities, that are responsible for its color and patterns. Used for jewelry and talismans throughout the history of mankind. It’s called the supreme nurturer, which provides protection and absorbs negative energies. Calms emotions, and is also used as a healing stone to strengthen the immune system.
These stone specimens are one of the most favored materials by lapidarist. It’s hard and dense, hardly ever cracks allowing to design attractive pendants by its pattern, and takes a brilliant polish.
If you looking for a unique piece of jewelry for yourself or a friend, I highly recommend Jasper, which makes an eye-catching pendant from the Australian Mookaite to the Mexican porcelain, and even with the funny name purple cow from Oregon
