New modern art style green soapstone Gingko sculpture of the tree branch. Hand caved with traditional tools and polished with standard water base sand papers up to 2000 grit. Medium size natural soapstone with some veins on round shape black zebra marble base. It’s an original recently finished sculpture, never been displayed, the idea is my own, not a reproduction or copy of any image. The stone is sealed and buffed with non toxic natural bee wax, signed and dated. It’s a semi translucent soapstone, displayed with light behind it makes an awesome piece of home decoration.

One of my favorite subject is the Gingko. This fascinating plant’s history goes back to 270 million years, became the symbol of strength in the western culture, and on the far east as hope and peace. The strength of the plant is miracle, 170 of Ginko tree survived the atomic blast in Hiroshima and still alive.
