Description
This flying eagle crosses the horizon and shields the scorching sun halfway. Placing it with light behind or on a window seal enhances the meaning and the effect. Sometimes I wish that there was a stone with various colors that I can choose, that the round background would be gold.
But no complaints, this fascinating black wonderstone is just a masterpiece of mother nature. Since I began carving it, I’ve never found cracks air pockets, and not even any other stone included in it. The very fine grains allow the finish shine like no other.
8.5″ x 5.75″ x 3″ 22 x 14.5 x 7.5 cm 5.15 lb. 2.663 kg.
This flying eagle original sculpture is carved with traditional hand tools. Shaped with mallet and chisels, and detailed with rasps and files. Polished submerged under water with various grits of sandpapers from 100 up to 2000 to achieve this shine. Sealed and buffed with natural nontoxic bee wax. The base stone is an intense color red diorite, a very hard and dense stone specimen. Cut to a round shape polished on top and the side. The sculpture is pinned and stone epoxy glued to the base. signed by me SaGa.

This statue has a subtle, authentic beauty. I’ve had it sitting on my table and it reminds me of visiting the seal lion cave. It’s just perfect. 🙏thank you.
