Description
I have created a depiction of a black angel fish that is slightly larger than life. It should be noted that pure black fish have never been documented, but this is my interpretation of one. This brand-new, never-before-exhibited little sculpture is carved by hand from black wonderstone. High polished to a dazzling shine and glass-like smoothness using different grits of sandpaper. Real 14K gold leaves were utilized to gild the eyes in the same manner as was done for ages in churches and castles. Mounted on a black granite base with a spherical form that has some dazzling gold particles, most likely Pyrite. Here is a brief 360-degree video.

A unique class of rock mineral found in phyllite and schistose rocks are called pyrophyllite, sometimes known as wonderstone. Wonderstone is renowned for its little to no cracks and smooth, fine-grained texture (phyletic shine). To the touch, pyrophyllite feels smooth, not unlike soapstone. On the Moh scale, it has a hardness factor of 2 to 3.
The base granite stone, which is also polished, has the signature of the sculpture. At the time of purchase, a hand-signed authentication certificate is included with the black angel fish.
